SEEDS OF PEACE
Following their victory in the war, a group of soldiers chooses not to celebrate the achievement, but instead heads to the enemy villages, which are living in dire poverty, and offers the parents to send their children to them – to receive a quality education, food, and learn a trade. All of this is done with the aim of sowing the seeds of peace for the future. This took place in Kibbutz Yakum, after the War of Independence, when the Arab villages were under military rule. Members of Kibbutz Yakum, who were fighters in the "Haganah," managed, secretly, to educate about 40 Arab children for two years, with the intention of creating a future of coexistence.
